Autonomous manufacturing ยท Dallas, Texas
The factory is the product.
VectorFab builds autonomous, small-footprint dark factories on American soil โ then operates them, proves them, and transfers them to the brands that need them.

What we build
A different kind of manufacturer โ one that makes the makers.
Brands lost the ability to manufacture. They kept design and vendor management, and shipped production to Asia โ trading away speed, control, and supply-chain resilience. VectorFab exists to give it back: automated production units, built close to where the product is actually used.
Dark factories
Highly automated, lights-out units that integrate proven robotics, machine vision, and AI cutting โ no ground-up machine invention, just smart integration.
Small & distributed
Compact footprints placed near points of consumption โ one near Dallas, one near another market โ collapsing shipping time and tariff exposure.
Integration IP
The value is the recipe: the exact mix of machinery, software config, and workflow that makes a unit run. That operational IP compounds with every build.
The model
Build. Operate. Transfer.
VectorFab is not a clothing brand and not an asset-heavy operator. We build a unit, prove it can be done, run it profitably โ then hand it to the brand. A factory-as-product ODM model for American manufacturing.
Build
Assemble a working dark factory from proven, off-the-shelf automation. Start with a low-complexity line โ plain basics, minimal seams, no trend risk.
Operate
Run it for real. Take a live product line from two or three brands, deliver in days instead of weeks, and prove the unit economics on the floor.
Transfer
Once proven, transfer the unit to the brand โ with margin, a maintenance contract, and equity retained. Then replicate for the next partner.
No incumbent to displace โ the US has near-zero automated garment capacity at scale.
Why now
Three trends are converging at exactly the same moment.
Robot costs fell ~70% in a decade, tariffs raised import costs 25โ100%, and AI vision made flexible automation practical. The window to bring physical manufacturing back is open now.
Dark-factory automation
Lights-out production is proven at scale in China and, for basics, in the US. The playbook already exists โ it just hasn't been packaged for American brands.
Distributed localization
Re-industrialization is a global race. Smaller units placed near demand cut transit time, dodge chokepoints, and turn speed-to-market into a structural edge.
Reshoring & tariffs
25โ100% tariffs on Chinese imports plus Made-in-USA demand flip the math. For products consumed in the US, domestic automated production finally wins.
The edge
Defensible beyond price.
Cost is table stakes. VectorFab compounds advantages that a spreadsheet can't copy.
Speed to market
Design to shelf in 48 hours versus 6โ10 weeks from Asia โ a different business capability, not just a cheaper one.
The data flywheel
Every run, defect, and changeover trains the factory AI. Unit three is better than unit one; competitors starting at zero face a widening gap.
Made in USA
Berry-Amendment sourcing, a 20โ40% Made-in-USA premium, and pressure to de-risk China โ claimed authentically, without a brand building its own plant.
First-mover network
A commissioned, running dark factory takes 12โ18 months to build. Every unit VectorFab stands up raises the bar for anyone trying to catch up.
